Pickleball arrives at NAA — with a bang

Launched on the auspicious day of Maha Shivratri with its very own community, Nopany Pickleball 1.0 (NPB 1.0) became the Association’s first-ever pickleball tournament — and the response was nothing short of phenomenal. All six team-ownership slots sold out within days, player registrations crossed 50, and over 90% of the players turned up for the trials.

Inaugurated with a traditional lamp-lighting, the tournament was played in a doubles-only format on the floodlit courts at SMASH, Nagerbazar. Six franchises drafted their squads through a spirited live player auction conducted by Prince Agarwal — 48 players in all, drafted so every squad went in balanced and every game stayed close.
